Contributor Bio(s): Wasdin, Howard E.: - Dr. Howard E. Wasdin graduated with Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) Class 143. He was awarded the Silver Star and the Purple Heart for his valor during the Battle of Mogadishu. He medically retired from the Navy in November 1995 after twelve years of service. He makes his home in Georgia.
