Publisher Description:
Born in 1934 in northwestern U.S. of missionary parents, the Author began his extensive travels at an early age. He graduated from grade eight in Bangkok, Thailand, and from high school in Singapore, Malaya. Wedding bells, three children, and a hard-earned BS degree later launched him into the health care field as an administrator, first on the Navajo Reservation in Utah, then as missionary to Haiti. Here he put together a 70-bed hospital in a ghetto suburb of Port-au-Prince, becoming its first administrator. He was the victim of a Voodoo curse, but with the support of his family he opened Haiti Adventist Hospital. It miraculously survive intact the 2010 earthquake. It saved hundreds of lives and limbs to become the orthopedic center for the area.
