Publisher Description: For over 167 years the center place of the Mormon Church and Latter-day Saints has been Salt Lake City, Utah. Yet among those very saints has dwelt a knowledge of, and hope for, future events when Zion, the New Jerusalem, will be established in the area of Jackson and Caldwell counties in the central state of Missouri. It is difficult to conceive of how it will ever be that a church so entrenched in one area, could pull up stakes and move everything to another state, prior to the Lord's millennia return. This work of fiction, outlines one way that such an event may actually come to pass. While this book is in fact fiction and any relation to real events or real people is in the mind of the beholder, some of these events are based in actual experiences. Thus the fact that they have not happened as portrayed here does not mean that they cannot happen. The author is certain that there will definitely come a day when, as the Lord has prophesied though His leaders, that the "law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem." Isaiah 2:3. This fictional story represents one way in which that prophesy may come to be fulfilled. |
