Publisher Description: This treatise is an attempt to explore the question of who/what creates a text. Two of the main agents related to text are author and reader. Most critics have given their attention to these two regarding the creation, or creation of meaning of a text. It is an 'accepted' understanding now that author and reader play the most important roles in the creation of a text. But this understanding is questionable as there are other elements and factors that play important roles in the creation of a text. This treatise explores the 'contribution' of the author and reader (as it was said by critics) along with the shortcomings that refrain them from fully creating a text. The aim of this treatise is to argue that the real creator of a text, if there is any is the context. What the author and the reader do is make collaboration by the unauthentic texts to explore the context. It also argues that creating a text is an illusion as for creating an authentic text one had to create an authentic context which is impossible. |
