He is the author of numerous works of science fiction, including Dhalgren and The Mad Man, as well as the bestselling nonfiction study Times Square Red, Times Square Blue. The Lambda Book Report placed him among the fifty most significant shapers of our concept of gayness in the past hundred years. For his lifetime contribution to lesbian and gay literature, Delany has also received the Bill Whitehead Award. Bloom, Claire: -Claire Bloom, CBE, is an English film and stage actress, known for leading roles in plays such as Streetcar Named Desire, A Doll's House, and Long Day's Journey into Night, along with nearly sixty films and countless television roles, during a career spanning over six decades. She was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire in the 2013 Queen's birthday honors for services to drama.
