John Jakes is the bestselling author of Charleston, the eight-volume Kent Family Chronicles, the North and South trilogy, California Gold, and others. He has received a number of awards and accolades for his achievements as a writer, most notably a Cooper Medal from the Thomas Cooper Library and a Career Achievement Award from the South Carolina Humanities Association. He is a member of the Authors Guild, the Dramatists Guild, and serves on the board of the Authors Guild Foundation. A graduate of DePauw and Ohio State universities, Jakes currently lives in South Carolina and Florida.

Carroll, Lenore: -

Lenore Carroll is a novelist who lives in California.

Wheeler, Richard S.: -

Richard S. Wheeler is the award-winning author of historical novels, biographical novels, and Westerns. He began a late-in-life career as a novelist at age fifty, and by his seventy-fifth year had written more than sixty novels. He began life as a newsman and later became a book editor, but he turned to fiction full time in 1985. Wheeler started by writing traditional Westerns but soon was writing large-scale historical novels and then biographical novels. In recent years he has been writing mysteries as well, some under the pseudonym Axel Brand. He has won numerous awards, six Spur Awards from the Western Writers of America and the Owen Wister Award for lifetime achievement in the literature of the American West.

Mazur, Kathe: -

Kathe Mazur has narrated many audiobooks, winning the prestigious Audie Award for best narration in 2014, being named a finalist for the Audie Award in 2013 and 2015, and winning seven AudioFile Earphones Awards. As an actress, she can be seen as DDA Hobbs on The Closer and in the upcoming Major Crimes. Randisi, Robert J.: -

Robert J. Randisi has written more than four hundred Westerns, including the long-running Gunsmith series. He is also the editor of thirty anthologies and a Writer's Digest book, Writing the Private Eye Novel. He founded the Private Eye Writers of America in 1982 and created the Shamus Award; he also cofounded Mystery Scene magazine and the American Crime Writer's League. He lives in Clarksville, Missouri.

Reasoner, James: -

James Reasoner, a veteran writer of historical fiction, is the author of the Civil War Battle series and the Wagons West series. He has also written Westward, Expedition, and Outpost, a frontier trilogy set in the years before the Lewis and Clark expedition. He received the 2014 ReadWest Award for Literary Excellence in Fiction.

Linn, Rex: -

Rex Linn, a winner of the prestigious Audie Award for best narration in 2014, is an American film and television actor best known for his role as Frank Tripp in the television series CSI: Miami. Besides numerous other television roles, he has had roles in Django Unchained, Trial by Fire, and other major films. He was born and raised in the Texas panhandle and earned a BA in radio, television, and film from Oklahoma State University.

De Cuir, Gabrielle: -
