His writings are from October 20, 1944, to September 14, 1945, and describe his training experience in Camp Howze in Texas, Camp Claiborne in Louisiana, and Camp Kilmer in New Jersey. He also writes about his experiences fighting the Germans on the front lines. Sergeant Pappas was in England, France, and Germany and participated in several major battles. |
