With a lucid realization that lvaro has adopted a belief in a supreme being we may see many references to God, but his existentialist soul is nowhere to be lost and neither his subtle inclination to be in a state of war. lvaro will try to make sense of ideas, prophecies, stories, conclusions and realizations throughout the process of talking to himself, talking to the reader and talking to imaginary characters and imaginary enemies (or actual real ones?) that live in realities of his own subconscious and dreams; or should we say, different realities or sub-realities of his own god-mind?
