It helps them to understand that following a dream or achieving a goal isn't a journey that they have to travel alone. The program encourages education, self-awareness, self-esteem and getting involved in self-help groups or finding a mentor or mentorship program. The program was so successful that it was recognized by President Barack and 1st Lady Michelle Obama in 2013. |
