Publisher Description:
The following is an attempt to encourage more positive and productive efforts towards ministry and divinity from a cultural perspective. It further takes into consideration the array of meaningful information that is often times left out relative to what is typically thought of as the Black experience. Regarding this very tender subject, I thought it fitting to attempt to bring forward information that could possibly contribute to a clearer insight towards this issue. Please find the following that brings forth cultural information that is not typically mentioned in the mainstream educational realm. I highly recommended further pursuing these particular works of mention in that much of it was obtained through research, life experiences and internet searches thereof. Please let it be noted that these individuals mentioned may not be involved in the collective dissemination of this information and reserve the right to their own individual perspectives. Their individual input has been included because I thought it relative to this pursuit of illustrating excerpts of cultural wisdom relative to the Black Experience. In that regard, there have been so many efforts to study us and mislead us according to critics like the late Professor George G. M. James' and Mother Drusilla Dunjee Houston's previous publications. I, therefore, thought it further fitting to bring forth a kind of readily available cultural workshop that would not be possibly limited to the constraints of many of the modern day barriers that we are sometimes confronted with today. In that regard, I have attempted to illustrate this perspective from that particular venue. This information is listed in the following areas of emphasis in an attempt to illustrate a kind of cultural ministerial or mission wisdom relative to divinity and the Black experience: 1.A Deeper Cultural look at Black Divinity 2.A Different Cultural Perspective of Blackness 3.An even Earlier Cultural Ancestral Perspective 4.Deeper Looks at Black Divinity... 5.Modern Cultural Speculations/ Observations 6.Cultural Reflections of Various Bibles. This closer look involves illustrating the designated information as the lectures have individually been identified on the internet and through other informational sources. It is very much an out of the box kind of materials and further touches on the subject of culture from a total different perspective.
