Once a student has adequately mastered an alphabet or number they may then move on to the next section or skip around as comfortable. This penmanship workbook will help increase your student's ability to: -Print uppercase and lowercase letters of the alphabet and recognize the difference between the two. -Write from left to right and top to bottom of page. -Recognize spacing between letters and eventually words. -Understand the concept of writing letters. -Write words and brief sentences that are legible. -Write his/her own first and last name and other important words. Some neurologists advocate writing to learn. One states, "The practice of writing can enhance the brain's intake, processing, retaining, and retrieving of information. Through writing, students can increase their comfort with and success in understanding complex material, unfamiliar concepts, and subject-specific vocabulary."
