Publisher Description: Native American healer Red Cloud is at a loss when he is presented with his first case of Tourette's syndrome. Faced with panicked parents, he attempts a traditional vision quest to seek a cure. To complete his ceremony to the four cardinal directions, Red Cloud climbs to the top of a mesa with an ancient mica mirror. Red Cloud uses the mirror to flash the last rays of the setting sun to other mesa lookout locations throughout the valley. His sleep is interrupted by a nightmare-dinosaurs being burned alive. When the first vision proves inconclusive, Red Cloud travels to a camp for children with Tourette's. There, observing their behavior, he makes a crucial connection: these children are possessed by the spirits of dinosaurs. This realization, coupled with a second vision, catapults Red Cloud to gather healers from around the country for a drumming ceremony at the camp. The plot thickens as FDA agents, responsible for monitoring the activity of natural healers and protecting the bottom line of drug companies, interfere with Red Cloud's plans. Red Cloud is determined to see his mission carried out. Will they complete the ceremony? Will he succeed in releasing the children from their affliction? |
