Publisher Description: Sometimes naive youthful decisions can mean the difference between becoming a successful professional, or the hardened criminal. But where is this thin line that separates good decisions from bad? What separates the chosen few who break free from the hood mentality from the victims who are trapped "On the Other Side of the Tracks." Here is a story about five teens, Romeo, Hakeem, Clay, Roberto, and Victor from a suburban town. The boys deal with typical teenage issues such as schoolwork, sports activities, going to church, jobs, fashion, parties, and of course girls. Their lives change when a rival crew from a neighboring town led by Eric picks a fight with Romeo. From there, the conflict propagates when members from Romeo's crew are involved with selling drugs, having problems with the police, and perpetually engage in an on going quarrel with Eric's crew. As the story unfolds, Romeo's crew and their enemies will be forced to make tough decisions. The impact of those decisions will decide which side of the tracks they will follow. |
