Publisher Description:
How A Loving Black And Tan Thoroughbred Dachshund Filly Named Brees Changed The Lives Of Her Mom And Dad. Brees 2/8/10 - 3/21/13 12:03 PM This book is in memory of Brees, a very special companion, who in the three short years that she was with us changed our lives forever. Brees entered our lives in such a remarkable unlikely manner, nothing short of a Miracle, which is where the title of the book came from Brees - Miracle On Rader Drive. When Brees came to us, her age was estimated to be around 10 years old. Shortly thereafter, she was diagnosed with COPD, a progressive breathing disease, which required regular health check ups and an assortment of medicines. Brees was on a mission to teach us valuable lessons, and it required our help to keep her healthy, active, and feeling good. Brees never once complained, a real lady she was, her tail wagging and happy to the very end. Her Mom was the first to greet her into the family on 2/8/10, and she died in her Dad's arms naturally and peacefully on 3/21/13 at 12:03 PM. Brees was a teacher at heart. She always seemed to have a lesson plan prepared and ready for what it was she wanted us to learn that day. Almost always, it centered around the Fruit of the Spirit: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self Control. Brees meant so much to us. She taught us and showed us about living by the way she lived, acted, treated us, loved us, trusted us, showed her affection and loyalty towards us, accepted our love, and also by the way she got along with other dogs, children, and grown ups. The things we miss most about Brees are her companionship, friendship, love, and the way she could look at us with those dark brown eyes. She always wanted to be right in the middle of what we were doing. We were connected in mind and spirit. The saying, "Dog is man's best friend," really is true. Brees was surely that, our best friend. Brees was a true blessing to us. One we dearly miss but will never forget. Do you believe there will be dogs in Heaven? We do. See you soon Baby Girl Shortly after Brees passed away, we started investigating her life before we had her. A special thank you to Rhonda for providing us with information on Brees' prior history.
