Publisher Description: Television Dream - Cultural Television Planetary Network for the World Peace is the history of a project, created in the 1990s, for a fabulous international television network oriented to culture and art, in order to promote world peace. That is also the history of the original CPLP Television Network - of the Community of Portuguese Language Countries. The CPLP is composed of Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, Sao Tome Principe and Timor Lorosae. The project was ended when the terrorist attacks of 11 September 2001 happened, because of the economic problems provoked by the international crisis. The book brings the models and the structure adopted for this project in the 1990s. Initiated by the architect, urban planner, writer and philosopher Emanuel Dimas de Melo Pimenta, the fundamental team of development soon counted with the participation of Jo o Barba, great expert on television in Portugal, and Durval de Noronha Goyos, renowned lawyer, arbitrator of the World Trade Organization and one of the responsible for the legal design of Mercosul - Common Market of the South American Countries. |
