What an exciting career Early in my profession I made a promise to the Lord that if He would bless my photographic efforts, I would always try to glorify Him with my cameras. Earning a living in outdoor photography can be a serious challenge. I soon learned that it was not so much genius as it was plain hard work I think of those beautiful calendar scenes with lighthouses, flowers, even old barns and setting suns as a part of God's handiwork. That's precisely why, as a Christian, I would enjoy and even make a living taking pictures. I could capture and use all those beautiful images and settings for the very reason God made them in the first place. We produced many different programs that were shown in churches and auditoriums throughout North America. Not only do we have a large collection of photographs, but volumes of notes and narrations we always wanted to put into print. Through the seasons of the year, as well as the seasons of life, there is no book of the bible more loved by the people of God than that old familiar songbook of the Old Testament, the Book of Psalms. It is a book filled with joy and praise and adoration It is truly the "Songbook of the Ages" and its words have been sung for thousands of years. How many broken hearts and anguished souls, filled with despair and pain, have read with tear filled eyes that "The Lord is my shepherd," or "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty " |
