Publisher Description:
The book of Grief - How It Harms and How To Cure It is about a revolutionary approach to understand the bricks and mortar of the behavioural manifestations of grief and how it is built to generate mental and physical harm in bereaved involving persons associated with them. Dr Kottiyattil K Aravind has developed a single-session- treatment package to cure the harm freeing the bereaved persons from their sufferings almost permanently for the rest of their life. KKA created the original model, "Question and Answer Model(c)(TM)" to enlighten his new classification of grief behaviour and sufferings and to achieve the most effective treatment. The model has evolved through a period of over twenty years by a lengthy, bit-by-bit process of logical questioning and evaluating all the answers given by the bereaved persons. The process of his in-depth analysis in the creation the model involved abandoning existing theories and approaches for treating grief in order to develop a totally fresh structure of the dynamics of how grief causes harm and its treatment, because the hitherto therapies in his experience have failed to remove the harmful effects completely and permanently. Within the knowledge of KKA current therapies seem to help the bereaved to cope with their grief and to live with some degree of on going suffering, as the harm may be manifested as both physical and mental dysfunction. KKA expected the successful outcome of the solutions, which would be automatically robust, if only the understanding of the dynamics could be applied equally to all harmful grief. The treatment package involved just one or two sessions suiting his general practice timetable as well as setting free the victims within the fastest timescale. The inevitable components of harmful grief are the negative judgement, such as guilt, hatred, anger, shame and hurt, either towards themselves or towards others. The negative emotions may be of extreme intensity and may turn the aggrieved to commit terrible tragedies of revenge. Self-guilt and self-hatred are more common leading to self-punishment and denial of their worthiness. KKA wanted an instant change from harming grief to a normality prevailed with love, joy and happiness giving the bereaved a productive functional life and none less than an absolute cure and stay cured for the rest of their life. He knew the task was a tall order but worked over a period of ten years until he managed to create the Question and Answer Model (c)(TM). Even though his town general practice constrained any controlled studies he had used the model in numerous of his own patients. The model has proved a very high degree of success in curing harmful grief of a few days up to thirty years of duration and in the age groups of ten to eighty years. Applying the model to the whole family when one of them is expected to die soon has prevented the development of harmful grief and the ill person turned more positive during their last part of the journey, and so benefiting all the people involved. During his work in the dermatology department some of the intractable skin conditions were cured, following the treatment of the underlying grief. From the personal feedback by the patients a great number of them have achieved remarkable resolution and regained normality in their life. Because of the success, which he was getting time after time, case after case; he had given workshops in the Hypnosis Society and had taught the students of Diploma and Masters Courses in Hypnosis in Sheffield University. His colleagues and students entreated him to publish this work. He has taken every effort to make the contents of this book easily understood by people of all walks of life, professionals as well as ordinary individuals. All the treatment procedures are explained and described in detailed hands-on-mode. 14 case histories are quoted in the third chapter. The paperback book "Grief - How It Harms and How To Cure It" is available as an Amazon Kindle e-
