Contributor Bio(s): Terwilliger, Richard Alan: - About the Author: I humbly offer this book as a testament to my life- long desire to search out and know more about what this Life is about and how we fit into it. This book represents the meandering spiritual journey I have lived. A roadmap of where I have been both physically and spiritually. Throughout my life, starting at a young age, I have been drawn to explore various spiritual traditions. I have interwoven these studies through my family and work life attempting to reach a balance between them. My journeys have taken me to the Indian subcontinent many times, through the Himalayas, up into the Andes and Sacred Valleys of Peru and into the Amazon jungle. Meeting and studying with many teachers from these various regions has allowed me the opportunity to offer a retelling of their teachings in the form of this book. Offered as a compilation of metaphoric stories that show how the teachings I have learn in this life create a different worldview that offers a new perspective on how we approach life. By using this method of storytelling, the teachings and lessons from these Teachers are hopefully more approachable and heartfelt. The stories are drawn from the experiences I have encountered through the teachers and methods each has taught. They range from Christianity to Vedic/Hindu thought to Zen Buddhism and Advaita Vedantic philosophy. These stories are offered as a restatement of questions we all ask ourselves at some point in our lives. They are not offered as answers to these questions but as a different way of asking them with the hope that they will lead the reader to new insights into their own True Self. The True Master in our life is not the ones we meet along the way but the one who can only be found deep inside ourselves. This Inner Teacher can only be heard in the deep silence of our souls. May these words point towards this Teacher within you waiting to show you all you must know to see your place in this World. It is there that I hope you find Peace and Joy through the Divine Light that is available to us all.
