No parent should have to experience the death of a child especially at the hands of those who have been sworned to serve and protect. The time is now that we as a people must stop allowing the killing of our children by those who could care less whether we survive or not. We as a people must start to value ourselves before others will begin to see the value in us. This book called "Marked" was created as my way of expressing my frustration of being sick and tired of seeing brothers and sisters being murdered for nothing more than being, African in America. Loving others begins with loving ourselves. |
