The New York Police Department in it's infinite wisdom, and search for peace and tranquility; did'nt bother to find British Nationals to serve on the NYPD, leaveing chazam of a culture gap. This story takes place in the mid to late 1940s after WWII. The setting is one very British citizens trying to survive in the brutally uncivilized "Colonies." The era when science didn't play the leading role it does today and the majority of thought-provoking crimes were solved with confessions. The sudden appearance of a naked body in the bath of a British born architect causes him a great deal of upset. NYPD leaves the body in his bathtub until they can find time to process and remove it. Lord La-Mont Cranston an amature detective (also a pain in the neck to local Detectives) is ask, by his mother, and the tub owner, to investigate. At the same time a noted financier goes missing under strange circumstances. As the case progresses it becomes clear that the two events are linked in some way.
