Publisher Description:
Why did God create everything? Why does sin exit? Why are babies born deformed? Why does a man choose to beat and abuse his wife, and God seems to turn a deaf ear to the woman? Didn't God know Adam would eat of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil? If God is so powerful, why does murder and crime exist? Can't God do anything about all of this malady in the world today? Did God make mistakes in the creation? Why did God flood the world, did He lose control of humans? Where does evil come from? If you haven't considered any, or all, of these questions, and many more, then you are doing better than me. I started asking those question myself. The answers I got from many preachers and Bible teachers, too often, were sad excuses of arguments, mostly worthless in content, and primarily regurgitated phrases and babblings. I have reached a point in my walk with our Lord where I no longer accept things just because someone says them. Even God challenges us to "test" Him in the book of Malachi (3:10). In 1st John (4:1) he admonishes us to, "not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God." And, in Romans 12:2, Paul says, "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect." Notice the word "prove" in the Romans verse, it clearly indicates that some sort of testing must occur. God not only had no problem with you "testing" His Word, but he encourages it. Why? Because if you do "test" His Word sincerely, you will reach the unmistakable conclusion that His Word is real. The following material was divided into three main parts. The first part deals with the question of creation, "Why?" In other words, why would God even consider choosing to create humans? What does He get out of this? The underlining principle I work with is, "No one does anything for nothing; there is always a motive or intent." In this, I include God. The second part deals with the general question, "Did God Make Mistakes?" Since God created everything, then why did things go wrong? Why did Lucifer rebel? Why did "Sin" come into existence? Did God get it wrong? Did He blow it? The third part deals with "Sin." The one thing which separates the human from God is sin. The Bible teaches of seven things which it refers to as "sin: " 1) Disobedience, 2) transgressions, 3) Iniquity, 4) rebellion, 5) error, 6) failure, and 7) "Sin." It is this last one which caught my attention. This "Sin," with a capital letter, is different from the rest, it almost seems to be alive.
