Her first job was as an assistant craft counselor, and through the years she worked her way up to eventually directing the camps, and then eventually pioneering a brand new day camp program which served a community desperately in need of programs for children. She wrote How To Start a Christian Day Camp because she passionately believes that Day Camps provide an excellent opportunity for churches to be able to reach several members of the community.
