Publisher Description:
The book starts like this. The headline in the 1948 Chicago Tribune on US elec-tion day was DEWEY DEFEATS TRUMAN. They were depending on polls and prognostications which pointed that way and due to the need to produce an edition at a certain time before many results were in, instead of acting sensibly, decided to steal a march. Unfortunately they went the wrong way and made fools of themselves. No one imagined that this would ever happen again but it did this year.Newsweek distributed an edition headlined MADAM PRESIDENT a few days before the election, based again on polls and prognostications. The same number of copies were circulated in both cases, 150,000.The big difference is that the candidate honored in the fantasy edition this year, Hillary Clinton, actually signed copies the day before the election. This could be called count-ing your chickens before they are hatched and ending up with egg on your face. That was meant to be a yolk -- sorry, joke. I assure you that this is a serious book and I am sober but I have been laughing so hard since the election I am having trouble getting down to it. This magazine cover was the perfect finish to a perfect election to see this arrogant slut, the most incompetent and corrupt candidate ever to run for US president, exposed in all her vainglory and providing the picture that will live forever in describing an event where in the starkest terms im-aginable good triumphed over evil.Ding, dong, the witch is dead Not physically and no one wishes her that, but politically. Her unfulfilled lust for power is buried in the sands of time.I suppose this book may be called beating a dead mare. But her candidacy was not so much a story of an ordinary citizen running for president but of a criminal trying to hi-jack the office and the question is still open, will she get away with her crimes as has her husband Bill?
