| Publisher Description: Selma Ottilia Lovisa Lagerl f (1858 -1940) was een Zweeds schrijfster, die vooral bekend is geworden door haar kinderboek Nils Holgerssons wonderbare reis. In 1909 ontving ze de Nobelprijs voor de Literatuur en in 1914 werd ze lid de Zweedse Academie, het comit dat de Nobelprijs voor de Literatuur toekent. Ze woonde in de plaats Sunne, waar twee hotels naar haar zijn vernoemd. In haar voormalige woonhuis M rbacka (nabij Sunne) is tegenwoordig een museum gevestigd. |
