The fact is, everybody is born with a natural instinct to find meaningful things they can believe in. Some call it instinct others call it a faith switch. The human brain actually releases a drug called oxytocin into your blood stream that acts like a mood elevating sedative when you use your instinctive "faith switch." This leads us to the assumption that acting and doing good things for others can become "addicting." In mankind's journey through time he found more and more things he could trust and believe in. We believe that one of his first conceptions was an afterlife.
