Contributor Bio(s): Meuse, Theresa: - Born and raised in the Bear River Mi'kmaq First Nation Community, Theresa Meuse-Dallien graduated from Dalhousie University in 1990 and was employed for several years in sharing Mi'kmaw culture in the schools. Theresa has published several articles, and presently shares cultural knowledge with government and other groups. The stories she shares are teachings passed on from the Elders.Stevens, Arthur: - Arthur Stevens is a Mi'kmaw artist and member of Millbrook First Nation Band. He holds a diploma in Commercial Design from Holland College. As an illustrator and graphic designer his work has been exhibited throughout Atlantic Canada. Currently employed in the publishing/design industry, Arthur continues to work with numerous First Nations organizations and individuals to promote what he feels is a diverse and remarkable culture. |
