| Publisher Description: Following the premise that legal research should begin with secondary sources, John Eaton and Denis Le May have compiled a bibliographic reference to the most authoritative secondary sources in French and English. The book is arranged according to topic, with 105 topics cross-referred between French and English, and includes both civil and common law sources. Contributor Bio(s): Eaton, John: - John Eaton, LL.B. (Toronto), M.L.S. (Maryland) is the Law Librarian and Associate Professor of Law at the University of Manitoba where he teaches advanced legal research. He is past president of Canadian Association of Law Libraries/Association Canadienne des bibliotheques de droit.Le May, Denis: - Denis Le May is the former law librarian at Université Laval, and the author of many books and articles. He has written a definitive French treatise on legal research, as well as the chapter on Quebec research in Douglass T. MacEllvan's Legal Research Handbook. He is the author of The Civil Code of Québec in Chart Form which was published by Irwin Law in 2006 which is based on his Le code civil du Québec en tableaux synoptiques, (Wilson & Lafleur,1992). He is past president of Canadian Association of Law Libraries/Association Canadienne des bibliotheques de droit. |
