He taught at the universities of Chicago and Missouri, Stanford University, and the New School for Social Research. Ivar Berg is professor of sociology at the University of Pennsylvania. He is the author of Industrial Sociology and Education and Jobs: The Great Training Robbery and coauthor of Managers and Work Reform and Work and Industry: Structure, Markets, Processes.
