He currently serves in the Office of the Secretary of Defense.Schmitt, Gary J.: - Gary J. Schmitt was also a senior fellow at the National Strategy Information Center while preparing the second edition of this book. He has served as executive director of the President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board and as minority staff director of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.
