He is founding director of PELIE: Partnership for Effective Learning and Innovative Education, a new national initiative to improve Jewish supplemental education throughout the United States. He received his leadership educator certification from Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government and his Juris Doctor from the Fordham University School of Law.
