Contributor Bio(s): Raver, Duane: - Duane Raver's extensive background as a fisheries biologist and artist includes working for the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission and serving as editor of Wildlife in North Carolina magazine. Raverís artwork has appeared in books and magazines, on posters, and throughout numerous publications. In 2002, he was presented with the North Carolina Governorís Conservation Achievement Award. He lives in Garner, North Carolina.Lane, Mike: - Mike Lane is the creator of the Web sites RodnReel.com and RodnGun.com, which were among the first fishing Web sites in the United States. Lane has explored the Gulf of Mexico to depths exceeding 7,000 feet as a ROV pilot. He is past vice president and current board member of the Louisiana Outdoors Writers Association and a member of the Southeastern Outdoor Press Association. Laneís home overlooks the Mississippi River in New Orleans, Louisiana.Horst, Jerald: - JERALD HORST is a retired fisheries expert who taught fisheries science at Louisiana State University for more than 30 years.
