The Jolan: Flight from Tyranny is a factual presentation of a Hungarian family fleeing the tyranny of Communist Russia during the revolution of 1956. The story was presented to Richard Baran, author by Jolán Marko (Yolanda Martin).
At the time of her flight, she was Jolán Marko, age eleven. These events happened to Yolanda and her family starting in 1956. The family members include her father, Bela Marko, mother Piroska, brother Lászlo, members of the Nagy family (her mother's relatives) and other Marko family members.



Contributor Bio(s): Baran, Richard: - Richard Baran holds a doctorate and two masters' degrees besides his bachelor's in business. A Navy veteran, he taught business education courses and coached football for forty years at the secondary school and collegiate levels. Jolan: Flight from Tyranny is his eighth book published by Total Recall Publishers.
