Contributor Bio(s): Vile, John R.: - John R. Vile is a professor of political science and dean of the University Honors College at Middle Tennessee State University. He is the author of numerous books including The Writing and Ratification of the United States Constitution: Practical Virtue in Action (2012); A Companion to the United States Constitution and Its Amendments, 5th ed. (2011); Essential Supreme Court Decisions: Summaries of Leading Cases in U.S. Constitutional Law, 15th ed. (2010); and The Encyclopedia of Constitutional Amendments, Proposed Amendments, and Amending Issues, 1789-2010, 3rd ed. (2010). He is a member of the board of the American Mock Trial Association, a recipient of the Congressman Neal Smith award for contributions to law-related education, a 2009 inductee into the American Mock Trial Coaches Hall of Fame, and a recipient of MTSU's Outstanding Career Achievement Award for 2010-2011.
