Contributor Bio(s): Haycock, Samantha: - SAMANTHA HAYCOCK is the Episcopal lay chaplain to the University of Arkansas and coordinates young adult ministries with St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Fayetteville. She holds a BA in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz and has a passion for spreading Jesus' call for social justice. Previously the Director of Children and Youth Ministry at Christ Church, Alameda, California, she has been involved in diocesan sponsored youth events over the past decade, including summer camps, Happening, and the triennial Episcopal Youth Event. Samantha helps people to make connections between their daily and spiritual lives so that they can bring their whole and authentic selves to the world. She also enjoys concocting strange things in her kitchen and hiking all over the place.Miles, Caren: - Caren Miles is currently adjusting to the west coast lifestyle after moving from the Church of the Heavenly Rest, Manhattan, to St. John's, Ross, California. After eleven years of ministry, Miles is still excited to sit on the floor and read Bible stories to preschoolers or to sit in a coffee shop and wax theological with teenagers--yet she admits that her favorite thing is watching those same teenagers begin to lead younger children on their faith journeys. She lives in Alameda, California.
