In the New Testament this significant Greek compound is applied to the Holy Ghost in the capacity of Comforter, as He is the Executive of the Trinity, the Convicter or the sinner, the Regenerator of the penitent, the Sanctifier of the believer, the Restorer of the backslider, and the Glorifier of the pilgrim when this mortal shall put on immortality.
