Publisher Description:

In the voice of her eldest male Australian Shepherd, author and canine nutrition expert Tigger Montague tackles the many aspects of canine whole-food diets, along with the wonderful and sometimes complex relationships that dogs share with humans, with cats, and with other farm animals.

The World According to Kemosabe is written from Kemosabe's unique position in the pack: Storyteller of the Aussie Tribe. In addition to his farm life observations and colorful, often poignant tales of canine camaraderie past and present, the book offers easy-to-follow nutrition fundamentals for dogs, including raw food, home-cooked food, supplements, recipes, resources, product recommendations and expert advice on feeding for a spectrum of specific health challenges ranging from allergies to cancers.

A combination of vivid storytelling and highly specific, practical guidance makes The World According to Kemosabe a one-of-a-kind creation. This is a reference that dog owners of all walks can turn to for sound advice as well as entertainment for many years to come.

Contributor Bio(s): Montague, Tigger: - Tigger Montague has spent her entire life with dogs, either purchased from breeders, rescued, or adopted from shelters. Living with multiple dogs taught her pack behavior, and she began to see her dogs as members of a tribe: a Chief, the Elders, the Storyteller, the Hunters, and the Hearth-Seekers. After 30 years in the human and equine nutrition business, she embarked on her own journey for foods that could nourish and support members of the canine tribe. Her company, BioStarUS, has pioneered whole, raw food supplements for dogs and horses.
