Contributor Bio(s): Sheppard, Kristen: - Kristen Sheppard was born and raised in the beautiful city of Portland, OR. Around the age of five, her talents began to appear in music, textile arts and writing. After high school, she attended the School of Music at University of Oregon in Eugene. She plays several woodwind instruments and has performed mainly in classical, jazz and folk music. In her mid 20's she moved to Houston, TX. Kristen has a diverse work history, which includes the airlines and the needlework industry. Throughout her life's journey of creativity, she has gained many skills; from custom picture framer to professional needlework finisher. She has fashioned many an item, such as hand-knit socks and customized clothing, to furniture design and assembly. The creative process is pure joy for her! She currently shares her imaginative lifestyle with her teenage son, four cats, too many finches and one bearded dragon lizard, in their home just north of Houston.Martineau, Philip James: - Philip grew up in Carson City, Nevada, and drew mountains, volcanoes, planets, and dinosaurs from a very young age. His biggest inspiration was Disney's Fantasia. Philip graduated from Academy of Art University in San Francisco in 2016, with a Bachelors Degree of Illustration. He does a wide variety of artwork, from digital icons, to comics and storybooks!
