Publisher Description:
Your habits are you if you decide to dedicate your time and energy to habits worth 99 cent; then, you have to change it. -After reading about 3610 books in different areas I realized 90% of self-help books are completely useless because the author of these books is repeating other books without knowing the source of the problem. Let's take one step back and see what is the reason for writing a book? I might be a lot, but generally speaking, it is either give you fresh and new information or solve a problem in different fields. Let's say about "Habit" which is the main topic of this book, I read more than 50 books about the habit in the past 5 years. usually there are 20 pages called introduction but it is on;y a sales pitches and the rest of the introduction is about the author and his/her family, almost everyone skip this part and that is why I never have a topic as introduction, but if it is necessary to introduce a little background about yourself, I will fit a few sentences in other chapters. The way I see for books like this one is, there is a problem and author has a solution in mind, this is an art to make a connection between problem and solution and at the end really help the reader to get rid of a problem, or if the reader doesn't like the idea at least he or she is going to know you have knowledge in this area. What I have seen so far (a few books are exceptions), many authors don't even know a habit is a neural pattern and to break this pattern you have to introduce a neuropsychological, not even they don't know that because they copied someone else's book or idea. It might even take you to the wrong solution. This is one of the biggest experiences of my life. Before reading a book, I have to make sure the author does understand the root of the problem and if not, not only it is going to take me in the wrong direction but it might make the situation worse than it was before. -If you attack the root of the problem, for example, habit, one might have noticed the change immediately, and if not the author was not aware of the root of the issue or his/her presentation of the solution was so weak or hard that is not useful for the reader. For example, on the topic of that, you have to take a neurological path to solve the problem and the author gets to the very details to the extent to which just people with a medical degree can understand it.I believe you have to present your idea and at the same time point out some theoretical concepts and leave the room for people who are looking to go more in detail and research in that area.
