Publisher Description:
Remember Reeny is a story that takes place between 1937 and 1947 during a turbulent time in American History. The book revolves around Reeny Taft who was sixteen years old in 1937 and it seemed as if overnight, she transformed from a skinny, gawky, kid with a pixie haircut into a beautiful young woman with long dark hair and penetrating brown eyes. She was filled with ambitious dreams and high hopes. Her boyfriend, Merle Heasley, loved her with all of his heart and wanted nothing more than to get married and spend the rest of their lives together, just as their parents have done, working the farms and raising kids, living in the country. Reeny had more ambitious plans for her life, such as getting an education or devoting her life to Christ, anything but living the rest of her life on the farm. Then she met Ross Kepple, a man from town that she could never quite get out of her head. Everything changed after Pearl Harbor and the war. This is a story about the lives of two men who fell in love with the same woman during the same era and how their lives intertwined through tragic world events and happiness one woman gave to both of them.
