Publisher Description: The Standard Gravure shooting occurred on September 14, 1989. Joseph T. Wesbecker, a 47-year old pressman on disability for mental illness, entered his former workplace Standard Gravure. Although he was after "bosses," he shot anyone, killing eight people and injuring twelve. With a history of suicidal ideation, it was no surprise that he committed suicide immediately after. This book examines the events leading up to the killings and establishes a typology for a forensic profile. It also looks at the lawsuit against the makers of Prozac, as Wesbecker was the key case of about 100 claimants. |
