| Publisher Description: Does God want me to give 10% of my money to the Church? Too often in churches today, Christians are made to feel as if they are "robbing" God if they fail to give a tithe, or 10%, of their income to their local church. Alternatively, many churches will promise their flock hundredfold returns by planting a "seed of faith" money offering. Still others teach that tithing unlocks hidden blessings from God, or that God is powerless to bless the one who withholds the tithe from the church. What then is the truth? Is God some sort of spiritual concierge that expects a 10% tip for His services? What does the Bible have to say? In Gospel according to the Apostle John, Christ proclaimed, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me."
