Contributor Bio(s): Crier, Harlen: - Harlen was born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, but raised in Alberta most of his childhood in Samson Cree Nation (Hobbema) and finding a niche for writing while escaping the hardships of his surrounding that comes with being First Nation in Hobbema. Citing that alcohol and drugs were the norm in his surroundings and realized that was an empty path and a once excelling student, decided to return to what came natural; telling stories with passion and dedication. Harlen is married with one child and he credits his mother, the grace of God and numerous friends that he survived life with a touch of modesty and morals. He found the ability to write soon after and hopes to one day get his Journalism degree to continue his passion for writing professionally, all the while trying to raise his son and be a loving husband, family figure and contributor to society.... |
