Publisher Description:
In an elegiac and well-conceived projection of the human form as a subject of conceptual and symbolic transformation, Visions This Terrain is an existential experience of a natural developmental progression from external experience to internal visual phenomena-outlaying an aesthetic encounter with the process wherein life's exploration of reality is conjured throughout its origins in what defines a Self as perceptually accurate toward the objects within and beyond the edge of Reason-while remaining grounded therein as an essentialized component of what constitutes the progression of those thoughts that propel life's trepidation toward the safety of its self-identical sense of well-being and belonging to forms of human experience inclusive of a radiance that exudes the human corporeal and spiritual form in each of its particular variations. Within the potency of a fruitful understanding of what compels Being as an integral representation of this that composes reality throughout its symbolic and imaginary modes of becoming, this work restores an opening in its outreach to phenomenal experience-with a closing of an emancipatory abstraction of content that recreates subjectivity without cancelling the resistance to forms of reality that project a social transformation of those things that obfuscate human self-discovery. These poems nurture the Self in order to heal subjectivity from its point of contact with the outer reaches of existential reality that promulgate the notion of personal discovery as an accessible mode of transcendental becoming- superseding an artificial sense of a mundane and oversimplified physical universe. With this, we conceive within contrary motifs of a universal undertaking to explore the promises of inner exploration, whilst resisting the material realm as the authentic predecessor of the unaccompanied resplendence of this for which the concrete verifiability affiliated with our natural Self-composition procured its compositional existential becoming through art and language, signs and representations, and these that are the experiences of what forms the progress from the essential components that drive illumined being toward the edge of an unbridled social transformation.
