This novel starts in the colonies in space. There is an encounter with a non-human intelligence called the Galactic Alliance. Following a peaceful mission to the Galactic Alliance SHIP and crew go back to see what Earth looks like after twenty years. They find survivors on Earth. Their story jumps back to the time when the last colony ship leaves Earth and tells their story with very little science fiction, mostly facts as they would occur in today's world. The novel then skips ahead to when the SHIP finds their little Earth civilization again. What happened to Atlantis? Where did it come from and where did it go? What caused the story of the Great Flood? Who survived the Great Flood. Where does the future lead. |
