Publisher Description:
The true story backed up by detailed research of an American soldier during and after the American Revolutionary War who in one battle survived five British musket balls creating nine wounds, suffered appalling conditions in captivity in two British jails, and escaped twice. After the Revolution he saved eight people who could not swim including four small children from drowning in the Delaware River during a hurricane by swimming them in groups to shore from the capsized boat. He later served as a guide to the Ohio wilderness rescuing gravely ill people at the risk to his own life and then died as a result. William Scott deserves to have his name next to the founding fathers in American history because without men like him, there probably would be no American history to study and no American nation as we know it today. This book appears in a screenplay format in the hope that someday someone with enough resources will be able to present the story as completely as it can be told. There are unsung heroes in the many conflicts throughout history that we have never heard of, but now we will learn about this one.
