Only seven tragedies survive, of which the most famous is Oedipus Rex.Jebb, Richard C.: - Sir Richard C. Jebb, Regius Professor of Greek and Fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge, UK, was one of the foremost classicists of the Victorian era. His editions of Sophocles' had a profound influence on subsequent scholarship. |
