Contributor Bio(s): Robertson, Izzy: - Izzy Robertson grew up in Slough. She read and wrote voraciously as a child but tended toward science at school. She trained as a physiotherapist and worked in the NHS for about 15 years, treating patients with musculo-skeletal problems and chronic pain. In 2006 she and her family escaped from the urban jungle of the south east to the deep, dark wilds of Dorset. She now works freelance as a complementary therapist, writer and editor, and is proud to be a trustee of The Word Forest Organisation, which plants trees and supports local communities and schools in a deforested area of Kenya. When not busy with the above, she enjoys time with her husband and two sons, chats to her chickens and dabbles in crafting, usually involving sparkly beads and glitter, to honour her inner magpie. She is most effectively fuelled by tea and music. Izzy's stories reflect her love of the unusual and magical and are aimed at young adults, whatever their age. "Maybe I never grew up," she says. "I love the thought that anything's possible. Magic is around us all the time. It's not complicated, it's the occurrence of the unexpected. We just have to open our eyes and look."
