Contributor Bio(s): Blackford, Gary: - I have been on an incredible journey. My journey, like all journeys has had some high mountain top experiences and some deep, cold and very dark valleys as well. I used to think I was alone in my suffering, but now I know that so many live where I once lived, and this book is designed to help lead as many as possible to a life beyond depression and mental illness. Although born in country New South Wales, I spent most my younger years in Sydney, Australia, during the 70's and 80's. Around the age of 16-17, life shifted and I began walking a road that would lead me to darker places than I ever imagined existed in my mind. Hallucinations, paranoia, paralysing fear and depression became constant companions, an all consuming blackness that culminated in a suicide attempt in 1986. Now I am a Senior Pastor, biblical teacher, professional sales and business development trainer, winner of numerous awards for sales and account development, and have established a successful small business, I speak and running training seminars in various fields. I love life, live and pastor in Coffs Harbour NSW Australia. I enjoy being married to my wife Robyn and have for 20+ years, I also father 4 amazing daughters.
