Publisher Description: The animals in a US northwest forest are losing their homes due to the encroachment of civilization and human incursions into the forest. The animals band together to try and find a way to save their homes. They determine that they must find a way to talk with the humans about their plight. The Snowy Owl is given the task of finding a human to begin communications between the animal world and the human world. The Snowy Owl decides that a little boy who likes to explore the forest near his home is the best choice. She seizes the opportunity to begin communications when the little boy, Aaron, becomes lost in the forest with night falling and snow on the ground. She guides him back home and their bond of trust is established. Through a series of exciting adventures in the forest the two learn about each other's world. |
