Well, in The Critter Family: The Fun Begins , a family with three pets is moving from New York to Virginia. What begins as a family including a retired racehorse, a greyhound dog, and a cat, ends with the addition of five more critters. One-by-one, these five critters find their way into the family's activities. They join the pets in the family in what becomes the making of a critter family. From being discovered to being rescued, the critters find a lifestyle of fun, friendship, safety, and service to the whole family This is the first book in a series.Share this book title with friends so they can enjoy a special AND larger critter family

The "Critter Family" series is a continuing story of a family who unintentionally created a Critter Family full of different breeds of critters each joining the group one-at-a-time under different circumstances. The critters are drawn to the family for caring and safety and then drawn into friendship with other critters. The Critter Family generates excitement by the fun-loving manner and lively activities of so many different types of critters and draws the interest of all ages. Each Critter made close friends with one or two other critters, yet each one looked out for the others in the group. In the end, these critters were easy to love Plus, you will find a description page at the end of each chapter describing two things: real characteristics of the critter, and a character description of the critter up to that point in the tales.

1) My granddaughters will be enchanted by the story of this adorable critter family. The author has cleverly used the natural curiosity of these critters to draw them together. The illustrations are marvelously humorous. I can imagine similar critters watching over my granddaughters when they come to visit me in Maryland hunt country in the summer and go riding at a nearby stable. -- by Carol S.

2) A frolicking fun tale filled with unending animal antics. Every chapter introduces a new animal friend and concludes with interesting facts. Fictions and facts wrapped up in an endearing story of a human's family love of animals. Children and parents alike will be looking at animals with new eyes -- By Connie T.

3) I read this book thinking about giving it to my grandchildren. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about each critter's character and perspective as they gradually grow into a group of friends. I can see how the children will quickly identify with their own curiosity in going from one adventure to the next and ending with a feeling of, "that was fun". I appreciate the learning blocks associated with each critter and the synopsis of their personalities. I am sure that the children will enjoy this book but I think that the adults will also appreciate hearing about it from the children and possibly read it themselves. -- By R.G.
